What a save! Hilarious moment drinker grabs his beers as England supporters leap onto pub tables to celebrate Kane's goal against Germany
This is the hilarious moment a pub goer was less interested in England's second goal against Germany than saving the final third of his pint of Carlsberg from jumping fans.
The punter swiftly took possession of his drinks as jubilant supporters leapt onto tables and benches at an east London pub, after Harry Kane's late goal on Tuesday night.
The moment was captured by Kaiya Melanie, 18, from Romford, Essex, as she watched Gareth Southgate's men at The Lord Stanley in Plaistow.
This is the moment an England fan raced to save his pint after Harry Kane scored the second goal during Tuesday's crunch game against Germany
The man seemed completely uninterested in the footage as the remainder of his pint of Carlsberg was at risk
Internal recruitment coordinator Kaiya Melanie, 18, from Romford, Essex, recorded the footage as she watched Gareth Southgate's men during their late victory against Germany
Ms Melanie, who was not born when Southgate missed his penalty against Germany at Wembley Stadium during Euro 1996, said that when Raheem Sterling steered in the first goal fans in the pub had thrown pints of lager into the air, drenching everyone.
Taking no chances this time, the man, who has not been identified, grabbed the remainder of his pint and a tall glass in case a bouncing fan knocked them over.
Ms Melanie, who works as an internal recruitment coordinator, told MailOnline: 'It’s a great pub. My friend's mum runs it so the atmosphere is always happy.
'In the garden they have TVs and music. Normally because of Covid restrictions we have to sit on the benches but I think the crowd got a bit too excited!'
Ms Melanie said she to will '100%' return to the bar on Saturday afternoon when England face Ukraine at the Olympic Stadium in Rome.
It is the first time during the tournament that England are playing away. No England fans are allowed to travel to the game as Italy has the country on its own version of a Covid-19 red list.
