Bill de Blasio expands vaccination-or-test mandate to ALL New York City workers, including more than 300,000 municipal workers, NYPD and teachers

Starting on September 13, all New York City employees will be required to either get a COVID vaccine or take a COVID test every week.

'September is the pivot point,' Mayor Bill de Blasio said at a news conference on Monday. 'September is when it will all happen.'

Those who remain unvaccinated will be required to wear masks at all times, he said, adding: 'There will have to be consequences.'

The mayor also urged private businesses to require vaccinations, saying: 'My message to the private sector is go as far as you can.'
