Bizarre footage shows the moment police officers attempt to remove a black cab stuck on tram lines at a station after the driver 'took a wrong turn'.
The taxi is seen with two wheels in the air as it balances precariously on the tram track with it's warning lights on at the Snow Hill tram stop in Birmingham.
In the video, shot by a passerby on Saturday January 2, officers investigate the abandoned taxi before attempting to push it free.
The taxi, wedged just a few hundred yards away from the tram station, caused the line to shut for several hours as police worked to free the vehicle.
In the short clip officers fail to move the straddled taxi, which reportedly became stuck just before 8am on Saturday before eventually being removed at 10.45am when services resumed as usual.
West Midlands Police confirmed the incident was caused by a driver error and said he has been reported for driving offences, it is believed the car was later towed from the track.
After the short clip was posted to Facebook many social media users condemned the driver for their careless actions..
Stephen Edwards wrote under the post: 'What a b******. What is he trying to be an idiot.'

Barb Capo said: 'What a d*** h*** obviously shouldn't be driving.'
And Balbeer Singh, a worker at Birmingham City Council, claimed: 'The driver was from Walsall, who got lost.
'He went through the no entry from the tram line to the railway line.'

Birmingham Transport Police have been contacted for comment.
In November 2016, there was a similar disruption near the same station after a vehicle was left abandoned on the tram line.
The drunk driver left his week-old Mercedes on the tracks, causing £6,000 of damage.
He was handed a 17-month driving ban after he also turned out to be uninsured.
