A husband who reported his preschool teacher wife missing on New Year's Eve has been arrested after cops found her shot dead in a field in Michigan.
Amanda Marie Hilton, 31, was discovered on Tuesday morning on a patch of land behind her apartment complex in Southgate, Detroit.
Husband Ryan Hilton was arrested having reported that the mother-of-two was last seen late on New Year's Eve.
Hilton is co-operating with police and remains in custody, but he has not been charged with any crime.

Amanda, a mother-of-two, has a young son with Hilton who she married in September 2019. She worked as a preschool teacher's assistant at Children's Place Montessori of Brownstown.
Amanda was last seen at around 11.30pm New Year's Eve and was witnessed getting into a dark-colored Ford Fusion hatchback.
She was reported missing by Hilton in the early hours of the following morning.
Amanda and Hilton married in September 2019 and she gave birth to her youngest son the year before.
She worked as a preschool teacher's assistant at Children's Place Montessori of Brownstown.
Charges are expected later this week, according to Michigan Headlines, with police saying it is an isolated incident which poses no threat to the wider public.
