Terrifying moment men throw explosive at Trump supporter's Michigan home causing the wall and window to blow out

Surveillance videos caught the dramatic moment a Michigan man's home was heavily damaged when men threw explosives at it early Saturday.

The incident took place at a Trump supporter's home in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, just after midnight Saturday, while the homeowner - who didn't want to be identified for safety reasons - and his girlfriend were inside.

The homeowner said that the couple were upstairs, in the master bedroom - he was watching TV and she was sleeping - when the explosions went off.

Two different surveillance video angles captured the moments the explosives were thrown at the home.

In the first video, a man in a hooded sweatshirt can be seen running up to the house, lighting an explosive and then hurling it at the home. He sprints away as the explosive goes off and sends debris flying everywhere.

The second video shows the same man as he runs back to a waiting truck. Another man, who is already at the truck, can be seen throwing an explosive at the house, this one hitting the homeowner's girlfriend's car before it explodes in a flash of sparks.

'The explosion went off and it kind of sounded like a transformer, I guess, from a powerline,' the homeowner told Click on Detroit. 'And then another explosion went off and it shook the house.'

A nearby home's surveillance cameras caught an explosions as it went off in bright sparks

A nearby home's surveillance cameras caught one of the explosions, as it created bright sparks . Neighbors two blocks away said they thought a bomb had gone off

He said that he and his girlfriend grabbed their dog and left the home, which is when they saw that one of the ground floor windows had been 'completely blown out, smoke coming out.'

'I didn’t know if the house was on fire or what was going on,' he said, adding that he did see 'a truck racing down the road.'

He told Fox 2 that: 'My neighbor came over from across the street and he said two blocks over they called him and said "what the hell happened?" They thought a bomb went off.'

Despite the smoke, the house didn't actually catch on fire. But the explosions did cause extensive damage.

The explosions left a hole in his living room floor, blew out drywall, shattered glass and cracked the ceiling. On the outside, bricks were knocked off the house itself and the girlfriend's car was also dented.

The homeowner said he and his girlfriend were 'really scared' during the incident.

The homeowner speculated that his home was targeted because he's a Trump supporter. One of his pro-Trump decorations is pictured

'I mean when you feel your house shake and explode and smoke, you don’t know what’s going on,' he told Click on Detroit.

The man said that he, police, neighbors and others suspect his home might've been targeted 'because I’m a pretty avid Trump supporter.'

A pro-Trump flag he has on his property reads 'Trump 2020: F**k your feelings.' He also appears to have a sign that reads 'My governor is an idiot, pure moron,' referring to Trump foe, Democrat Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

'Everybody has people who don't like them or whatever, but not to the extent of trying to blow my house up,' he told Fox 2.

In hopes of catching the people who targeted his home, the man is now offering a $10,000 reward for information about the incident.

'It’s worth it to me to find out who’s trying to catch my house on fire and possibly kill me,' the homeowner told Click on Detroit.

Anybody with information about the incident is asked to contact the St. Clair Shores Police Department at 586-445-5300.
