A teenager is in hospital after he was attacked with a crow bar and stomped in the head during a wild attack outside a Melbourne library.
The 15-year-old boy was walking alone in Caroline Springs, in the city's west, on Sunday afternoon when he was allegedly attacked by people he did not know.
Footage of the brutal brawl was posted to social media, showing more than a dozen youths swarming outside the library about 5.45pm.

At least three males can be seen charging towards the 15-year-old and pinning him against a wall, as one hits him with a crowbar.
They continuously beat the boy until he falls to the ground prompting a male to stomp on the boy's head repeatedly.
A woman can be heard screaming in the background 'It's a white boy'.
The 15-year-old was taken to hospital for lacerations on his head.
The boy's father took to Facebook after the attack, saying the group took his son's hat and phone before filming.
'It was my son who got attacked with a crowbar, and stomped on several times on his head,' he wrote.
'He was walking on his own. They posted the vid on social media the filthy animals.'

Victoria Police said officers are investigating the armed robbery and are urging witnesses to come forward.
A 16-year-old Caroline Springs boy has been interviewed by officers but was since 'released pending further enquiries'.
'The investigation remains ongoing and police urge anyone who witnessed the incident or with CCTV footage to come forward,' a statement said.
