Horrific images show the gruesome injuries suffered by a motorist, 53, after he was 'thrown to the ground by a teenager in a violent road rage attack'
A man has been left with gruesome injuries after he was allegedly hit following a suspected road rage incident.
The 53-year-old suffered horrific injuries to his face after an alleged altercation with a 19-year-old early on Saturday morning in Perth.
Police say the alleged attacker was in an altercation with a group of people near traffic lights at the intersection of Barrack Street and Wellington Street about midnight.
Investigators believe he was then involved in another incident shortly after in a loading bay near the intersection with the injured man.

Officers said the man was struck and fell to the ground where he hit his head, suffering serious head and facial injuries.
He was taken by St John Ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment.
Police have arrested a North Dandalup man and charged him with assault occasioning bodily harm, giving false details to police and disorderly behaviour in a public place.
He will appear in Perth Magistrates Court on January 12.
