An entire freeway in Melbourne has been closed following a fatal smash just after 7am on Wednesday morning.
Two trucks collided with a car, forcing the closure of all out-bound lanes on the Monash Freeway. The driver of the car died at the scene.
Following the incident, three people were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Chris Miller from the Victoria Department of Transport, revealed recovery crews were 'struggling' to attend the scene.
'There's a whole heap of people stuck between where the freeway is closed at Ferntree Gully Road and the scene of the accident,' he told 3AW.
Extensive delays have seen cars banked back to High Street in Glen Iris, in Melbourne's south-east.
All in-bound lanes remain open, with motorists advised to use the Princes Freeway as an alternative route.
The cause of the crash is being investigated.
