Water police, Volunteer Marine Rescue and Rescue 500 are still continuing their search.
Paramedics were also called to the scene and they treated one man for his injuries.
The other person, a woman, was uninjured.
The incident comes a little more than a week after a young boy was saved after deciding to go for a swim at 10pm.
The boy was pulled from the water after experiencing difficulties and treated at the scene by paramedics.
He was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
