Aussie Chrissy spirit: Inspiring moment a wine tour and locals work together to remove trees from a road after town was hit by wild storms and floods
A wine tour bus group and locals have united to clear trees and debris blocking a country road after wild storms ravaged their town.
Drivers heading down Tamborine Mountain Road, 50km northwest from the Gold Coast, on Saturday morning came across a large tree obstructing the road between Thunderbird Park and the Rainforest Skywalk.
Rather than wait for assistance, locals and a group of 22 people on a Pineapple Tours bus jumped out of their vehicles to help clear the path.

A video posted online shows more than two dozen people joyfully working together to cart broken branches and leaves off the road.
Six men can be heard laughing as they combine their powers to push a large tree trunk out of the way.
'This is team work at its finest is it not,' the woman filming says, adding jokingly: 'Remember that day you went on a wine tour?'
The footage has been viewed more than 2000 times, with many applauding their community spirit.
'Community collaboration wins again,' one person wrote.
Another added: 'Great to see the wine drinkers will rise to any challenge.'
'This is the real Australia,' a third said.
The tour company said everyone on the bus joined in to help.
'The alternative would have been to turn around which would have taken at least an hour,' Pineapple Tours told the ABC.
'The day ended with a proposal so all in all a great story.'
Wild weather barreling across Australia's east coast has brought torrential rain, damaging winds and flash flooding to northern New South Wales and southeast Queensland over the past few days.
The wet conditions are predicted to extend into next week, with both states warned to expect damaging winds, heavy rainfall, further coastal erosion and flooding.
