Unbelievable footage shows a 'stolen' car collide with five other vehicles in wild police chase that injured girl, 7, before cop takes the suspect down

Wild footage has captured an allegedly stolen car collide with five vehicles before the driver tried to flee on foot - only to be tackled and arrested by police officers.

The Stafford Heights man, 20,  allegedly crashed into a total of six vehicles at various spots across East Brisbane during peak hour evening traffic on Friday.

Dash camera footage showed the Toyota Corolla first collide with three stationary cars at the intersection of Stanley Street and Wellington Street in the city's CBD at 5.20pm.

A seven-year-old girl was in one of the cars allegedly struck during the chase and taken to hospital with neck injuries.

Police then saw the car and began chasing it along Stanley Street at Woolloongabba before the vehicle continued to drive dangerously along the Pacific Motorway.

The car was filmed crashing into the side of a car on the highway before suddenly veering right and crashing into another.

The driver then allegedly crashed into a truck at the intersection of William Street and Margaret Street in the Brisbane CBD.

The car was badly damaged after the sixth and final collision, with the suspect then allegedly leaving the vehicle and running from police on foot.

Dramatic police body camera footage showed a policeman on a motorbike catching up to the man as he allegedly ran along the pavement.

The policeman then dismounted from his bike and chased him on foot before there was a loud thud as the officer tackled the alleged suspect.

He was then handcuffed and put into the back of a police paddy wagon.

The man was charged with five counts of wilful damage, two counts of stealing, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, evasion and driving without a licence.

The 20-year-old was denied police bail to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Saturday morning, where he applied for bail once again.

QPS Sergeant Wade Domagala opposed bail, arguing he was 'a straight-out menace' and shouldn't be released into the community.

'The police tried to pull him over and then his behaviour just endangers the community ...smashing into other cars causing a seven-year-old to have to go to hospital,' Mr Domagala said, according to The Courier Mail.

'Your honour the community denounce that sort of behaviour and they need to be protected from people like him.'

The man is an apprentice carpenter who migrated from Sudan in 2004. His Legal Aid duty lawyer said his client would not be contesting charges.

Magistrate Mark Bucknall said the man has a criminal history and his behaviour made him a risk to the wider community.

'He has harmed people. His behaviour on this occasion, he's just got no regard at all,' the magistrate said, according to the Courier Mail.

Mr Bucknall refused bail and adjourned his case until December 16.
