Drunk driver, 29, appears in his mugshot bloodied and in a neck brace after running red light at 90mph and killing another driver - as judge hands him 30-year sentence
A drunk driver who ran a red light at 90mph, striking another car and killing the driver, is seen bloodied and wearing a neck brace in his mugshot as he's sentenced to 30 years in prison.
According to a statement from the Denver District Attorney's Office, Jaime Bautista-Sanchez, 29, drove his car through an intersection in downtown Denver without stopping at a red light on January 19, 2019.
He struck another car, killing its driver 28-year-old Ethan Small.

The crash occurred at the intersection in downtown Denver in January 2019
According to the forensic analysis, in the 13 minutes prior to crashing Small's car Bautista-Sanchez drove through downtown Denver at excessive speeds that reached 101mph.
He was driving 90mph when he ran through the light at the intersection of Colfax Avenue and Osage Street and slammed into Small's car, causing it to flip.
Small was pronounced dead at the scene.
Bautista-Sanchez had a blood alcohol content of .186-.200, more than twice the legal limit.
He also had THC, benzodiazepines, and cocaine metabolite in his system at the time of the crash, authorities said.
Authorities said Bautista-Sanchez was previously convicted of attempted first-degree murder and drunk driving.
He was driving 90mph when he ran through a red light at the intersection of Colfax Avenue and Osage Street and slammed into Ethan Small who subsequently died of his injuries
Details on that case have yet to emerge. He also had multiple traffic infractions prior to the 2019 crash.
In September, Bautista-Sanchez pleaded guilty to second degree murder, first degree assault, vehicular homicide and to DUI.
Denver District Attorney Beth McCann announced that he was sentenced to 30 years on Wednesday by Judge Kenneth Laff.
McCann said in the statement: 'My hope is that this sentence brings Mr Small's family some peace in what has surely been a dark time for them.'
Small left behind his parents Howard and Polliana and his sister Rachel.
