Arizona girl sobs moment after her family was held at gunpoint with an AK-47 during a carjacking in Mexico while she was filming on Snapchat
An Arizona family said they were held at gunpoint with an AK-47, carjacked and lost thousands of dollars in belongings while traveling to their beach house in Mexico.
The Davis family has traveled to the beach house for more than 20 years, but the latest trip was marred by a level of danger they had never experienced before.
'He rolls down his window and pulls out a machine gun and I say, "Oh my goodness, this is bad,' Mason Davis, a father-of-seven, told Fox 10.
On Tuesday, Mason and his wife traveled with their two youngest daughters from Mesa, Arizona, to their vacation home in Puerto Lobos.

Natalie Davis, Mason's wife and the children's mother, recounted the terrifying ordeal in a Facebook post that garnered more than 1,300 shares in less than 24 hours.
The family had driven their 2017 Toyota Tundra and a tandem axel trailer full of their personal belongings that evening.
But around 6pm, the otherwise peaceful drive turned perilous.
'About 6:00 PM a grey sedan pulled up alongside the driver's side door and pulled out a AK-47 and pointed it directly at my husband,' wrote Natalie.
'He was ordered to pull over or be shot. Immediately my husband pulled over and was ordered out of truck with a machine gun still pointed at his face.'
Natalie wrote that she and her two daughters were still inside the vehicle when one of the men sat down in the driver's seat.
The man was prepared to drive away with the women still in the car, but Mason pleaded with them and the family 'made a snap decision' to get out of their vehicle.
'It was so immediate in fact that as the truck drove away, all the doors were still opened,' she wrote.

The man took both Mason and Natalie's cell phones before fleeing the scene with all of the family's belongings.
Natalie wrote that she grabbed her children and made a run towards a nearby field, while Mason stayed near the road to flag somebody for help.
'As we stood in the middle of the Highway, we were all in shock. It took a quick second to process what had just happened before the fear that we could still be in eminent danger hit me with full force,' she wrote.
'Quickly I grabbed both of my daughters and ran them into a nearby field. My youngest daughter Claira had no shoes as we ran through briers and tall bushes.
An eight-second video clip taken directly after the incident was captured by one of the children on Snapchat. The child had been using the social media app when the grey Sedan first approached them.
'We're alive you guys,' Natalie says, as the overwhelmed family comes to grips with the robbery.
According to the Facebook post, a van full of local miners came across the family and were transported to a nearby Mexican military outpost.
Natalie said she was able to contact a neighbor who is an active CIA agent and the American Consulate was notified of the incident.
The family spent 30 miuntes at the milirary outpost before loading back into the miners' van, which would take them to the city of Puerto Peñasco, or Rocky Point.
'Because the border closes at 8:00 PM, we were informed that we could not get home tonight,' Natalie wrote.
The Davis family was dropped off at Las Palomas Resort, where a couple who learned of their ordeal offered them a place to sleep for the night.
The American consulate made contact with the family on Wednesday and they were taken home.
The Davis family said that between the stolen vehicle and other belongings, they've lost $70,000 because they did not have proper insurance

Mason told Fox 10 that they had just finished paying off the Toyota truck two months ago, but in grand scheme of things it didn't matter.
'As sad as it was to see the truck we just finished paying off drive away full of everything, at least we have our family,' he said.
But unfortunately, the family hadn't secured Mexican insurance and all the items stolen resulted in a total loss.
A GoFundMe was created for the family to help them recoup the money, at least for a new vehicle.
'We are SO beyond grateful nobody was hurt, but they lost their truck, trailer, quads, mountain bikes and phones,' a caption read.
'Nothing is covered by insurance because this occurred in Mexico which ends up being a $70,000 loss.' The fundraiser's goal in $25,000.
The U.S. State Department asked Americans to reconsider travel to 11 Mexican states, including Sonora, where Puerto Lobos is located.
A similar incident happened last year in Sonora, when nine women and children of the LeBaron family were shot dead by cartel gunman. The LeBaron family were a faction of Mormons from the United States who moved to Mexico for certain freedoms, like polygamy, decades ago.
