Six states led by Pennsylvania on Friday sued the U.S. Postal Service along with the brand new postmaster general, stating service changes lately have harmed the ability of states to conduct free and fair elections.
California Attorney General Xavier Becerra said"into the Trump Administration, delivering your paycheck, medicine or ballot is a joke but there's nothing funny about the salary you make, your health, or directly to vote. That is why today we're standing with Pennsylvania and other countries, taking the Postmaster General to court"
Postmaster General Louis DeJoy stated on Friday that the Postal Service will deliver all election mail.
"The Postal Service is completely capable and committed to delivering the country's election mail safely and on-time," DeJoy told a Senate hearing. "This sacred duty is my Number One priority between now and election day."
