Jennifer Hudson Performs Powerful 'A Change Is Gonna Come' in the 2020 DNC

Jennifer Hudson closed out night three of those 2020 DNC with a moving rendition of"A Change Is GonId Come."

Accompanied by two pianists and a saxophonist, Hudson belted from the Sam Cooke song from the Chicago Cultural Central, her strong voice echoing through the empty distance.

Hudson's functionality followed Sen. Kamala Harris' acceptance of the vice presidential nomination. "It is not about Joe or me," she explained, referring to presidential nominee Joe Biden,"it's all about us."

The third night of the Democratic National Convention also included performances by Billie Eilish and Prince Royce. Eilish encouraged viewers to"vote just like our lives depend on it." Royce, talking to Billboard after his appearance, said that"we need the kind of leader that represents our country's values and can properly deal with the pandemic that has been disproportionately impacting our country."

Former Rep. Gabby Giffords, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, and President Obama were among the other speakers.
