City touched down in New York for a week-long tour that involves two games against Chelsea but is predominantly aimed at strengthening commercial ties in America.

The deal represents a 50 per cent increase on their previous deal with Umbro even if it does leave them trailing neighbours Manchester United who are currently negotiating a new deal with Nike expected to tip the £50m a year mark.
City’s players will be involved in several community projects during their six-night stay in New York.
For example, they will hand out gifts to children in the city affected by last year’s hurricane on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, it is understood that suggestions City are about to close a deal to sign Atletico Madrid forward Radamel Falcao are wide of the mark. City are not interested in the player.
City play Chelsea in St Louis on Thursday and again here in New York on Saturday.
