Catching a fast moving ball as it sails towards the stands is difficult enough for the professional baseball players, let alone the amateurs.


But one senior showed it is not as hard as it looks - after she caught a foul ball without even looking.


The lucky woman covered her face when Arizona's Didi Gregorius smashed the ball into the crowd.

The ball narrowly misses striking the woman's head and ends up in her lap to the astonishment of the crowd





It went whizzing over the heads of scores of fans and headed straight for the woman, who was ducked down in her seat.

Somehow, the speeding ball missed hitting her head or face and dropped straight into her lap.


A video of the astonishing 'catch' during the Arizona Diamondbacks vs Colorado Rookies game last week has already gone viral.


Fans sitting around the woman stood up and watched the ball all the way as they tried to catch the foul ball.


The spectators can be seen holding out their hands in preparation but the woman only looks down.


The senior holds her trophy ball aloft as her friend giggles at the surprise catch



The senior was congratulated by other fans and even got a high-five from a beer seller for her efforts

As she cowers in her seat, the ball narrowly missed her head and fell onto her lap.


She is so oblivious to the hit, that commentators in the broadcast booth thought she must have been reading.


Surrounding spectators immediately congratulated the senior on her trophy.
The woman's friend can be seen wiping tears of laughter and surprise from her eyes as they take in the crowd's applause.
