Toddler dies from head injuries nine days after his father, 36, was killed in horror four-car crash as driver, 76, is arrested
Tributes have been paid to a 'loving and energetic' toddler who died from head injuries nine days after his father was killed in a horror four-car crash.
Joshua Hoyle, aged two, was airlifted to King's College Hospital in a critical condition after the collision on the A267 in Frant, East Sussex.
His father Andy Hoyle, 36, had been driving the blue Ford Fiesta and died at the scene on August 18.
Sussex Police confirmed today that Joshua died of his injuries last Friday.
Today, grief-stricken Trudie Hoyle released a heartwrenching tribute to her husband and 'loving' son.
A 76-year-old man from Tunbridge Wells has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, causing serious injury by dangerous driving and for failing to stop after a road accident.
He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Joshua's mother Trudie Hoyle said in a statement: 'Joshua was our loving and energetic boy and the centre of both mine and Andy's world.
'To have lost both of them in this way is absolutely devastating.
'As a family we will never stop loving and missing them, and would ask to be allowed to grieve privately while we come to terms with this tragedy.'
The family from Dartford, Kent, said in a statement following Mr Hoyle's death: 'Andy was a beloved son, husband, father and brother who will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.'
The tribute included a picture of Mr Hoyle wearing an 'Incredible Dad' t-shirt with his young son wearing Paw Patrol pyjamas and sitting between his legs.
Police were called to the rural country road just south of Tunbridge Wells in Kent at around 11.11am.

The collision also involved a white Renault Master, a silver Toyota Estima and a silver or grey Honda car which did not stop at the scene.
Officers were 'particularly keen' to speak to the driver of the Honda and specialist collision investigators closed the road to gather evidence.
It was reopened around 8.30pm later that evening with a yellow collision appeal notice appealing for information seen the following morning.
Officers continue to ask any witnesses with information or dash-cam footage of any of the vehicles involved to email or call 101 quoting Operation Utility.
