Horrifying video shows moment a drunken man almost gets his head crushed after stumbling off one of Nashville's infamous Pedal Taverns and into traffic
Shocking footage captured the moment a man almost got his head crushed by a car after he drunkenly stumbled off a Pedal Tavern in Nashville and fell into oncoming traffic.
The video began with the man sitting at the Pedal Tavern as onlookers watched the scene from above.
The man then got up out of his seat and slowly stumbled into the middle of the road.
Onlookers gasped as the man smashed into the passenger side of a white car and the back tire nearly ran over his head as he fell to the ground.

The car continued driving down the road as the man lay in the street. A woman from the same Pedal Tavern approached the man to make sure he was in good condition.
The man then managed to get back up and wave to the woman that he was fine as he walked towards the sidewalk.

The footage was posted to Twitter by @safefunnash, an account promoting safe partying in Nashville.
Music City has been known for its party atmosphere, in famous spots such as downtown Broadway, that have come in the forms of both bars and vehicles.
The party vehicles have received criticism from the Nashville public claiming that they lack proper safety guidelines.

Pedal Taverns are one of Nashville's party vehicles that requires passengers to pedal the portable bar like a bike as they drink around the city
In July, a 22-year-old Michigan man was injured after he fell off a roofless party bus.
After he fell, onlookers watched in horror as the bus' back tires ran over the man's legs.
The man was found in stable condition and sustained non-life threatening injuries.
The Nashville Convention & Visitor Corp cited the incident as a need for a crackdown on the parties on wheels.

'While we hope the individual injured recovers quickly, we must use this as an immediate call to action,' tourist board President and CEO Butch Spyridon said.
'Public safety is our number one concern, and unfortunately what we feared would happen, did happen. It is no secret that we have been openly concerned about the behavior surrounding entertainment vehicles. As goes public safety, so goes Nashville’s reputation.
'We need music to return to center stage instead of unregulated rolling parties. The hospitality industry and the city are determined to respond with meaningful measures.'
The incident also inspired a petition by Change.org called 'Bring Safety and Common Sense to Nashville's Party on Wheels.
The goal of the petition was to enforce public safety guidelines and updated standards for party vehicles.
The petition has gathered 2,296 signatures and held an event on August 26 in protest of the Transportation Licensing Commission's approval of 32 party vehicles and 10 pedal taverns.
