Melbourne’s lockdown is set to be extended AGAIN as 52 new venues are exposed to Covid including a Coles , KFC, McDonald's and a childcare centre - here's the full list

Melbourne is on edge again tonight with fears Victoria's growing new Covid outbreak will see the state's lockdown extended after 52 new exposure sites were revealed - including an entire apartment block and a childcare centre.

The total number of Covid exposure sites listed by the Victorian government since July 28 rocketed past 500 on Saturday evening with a rolling list of locations including supermarkets, chemists, convenience stores, bus routes and a swimming pool released.

Details are emerging that among them is an entire residential apartment complex at 32 Bosisto Street in Richmond was exposed for 11 consecutive days - all day between between August 2 and August 13.

Coles supermarket in the south Melbourne suburb of Balaclava was of major concern with five separate exposures to positive Covid cases in the past week, while a bakery, fruit shop and 7-Eleven in the same suburb were also named.

The Bosisto Street Residential Apartment Complex was listed as a Tier 2 exposure site, meaning anyone who visited at the specified times should get tested urgently and isolate until they receive a negative test result.

The 411 and 412 bus routes between West Footscray and Altona North were added too, with passengers who took those routes between August 2 and 4 potentially Tier 2 contacts.

Anyone who visited the Jolly Miller Cafe at Caroline Springs on August 6 or 7 at specified times (see below) could be a Tier 2 contact, meaning they should urgently get tested, then isolate until confirmation of a negative result

Anyone who visited Broadmeadows Aquatic and Leisure Centre between 5.45pm and 7.15pm on August 5 is considered a Tier 1 close contact meaning they must immediately get tested and go into quarantine for 14 days regardless of their test result

Five Coles, five Woolworths, three more 7-elevens, two KFCs, a McDonalds, several chemists and a public swimming pool were added to the huge list announced, after a child care centre was named earlier on Saturday. 

Anyone who visited Broadmeadows Aquatic and Leisure Centre between 5.45pm and 7.15pm on August 5 is considered a Tier 1 close contact.

That means they should get tested immediately and quarantine for 14 days from the date of exposure.

The same guidelines apply to the other Tier 1 sites named on Saturday evening - Woolworths Greenvale Lakes at Roxburgh Park, and SK Asian Spices at Glenroy, with the public urged to check the times and dates that exposure occurred. 

Almost all the exposure sites listed on Saturday evening were Tier 2 locations, meaning anyone who visited at the specified times should get tested urgently and isolate until they receive a negative test result.
