Making a moo-ve! Moment frisky cows smash tractor window when one tries to mount the other at children's farm

This is the hilarious moment two cows shattered the window of a tractor when they got a little frisky at a children's farm.

Foster carer Anthony Cressey was visiting Longdown Activity Farm in Ashurst near Southampton, with Harley, 12, and six-year-old Hunter when one cow suddenly attempted to mount another.

Mr Cressey filmed the excitable Jersey cow rearing up and launching herself at the black and white Friesian in front of her.  

To the amusement of the children watching, the cow in front then sprang forward and smashed the window of the tractor parked beside them.

As shards of glass fell to the ground, a visitor can be heard saying: 'That was a naughty cow.'

The cows then look at the ground before calmly walking away from the scene of the crime.  

Mr Cressey, from Southampton, said: 'We had a great day out. But the randy cows created a glass-shattering climax.

'It was worth the ticket price alone, it was worth it for the laughter. The kids were in hysterics.

'I'm not sure how much the tractor window would cost the farm to replace.

'But I would imagine it would be several hundred pounds for a piece of machinery that size.'        

Cows will sometimes mount each other when they are in the most fertile period, known as estrus, of their reproductive or 'heat' cycle.

During estrus, the cow is influenced by increased levels of oestrogen and this can cause some to mimic the role of a bull and mount other cows.
