'He wouldn't hug his mother like he hugged me': Assistant who claims Cuomo groped her breast says he also 'rubbed her butt' and was always looking for 'sexual satisfaction' as she demands his arrest and says what he did 'was a crime'

The assistant who says Governor Andrew Cuomo groped her breast described the alleged incident in more detail in her first interview, telling CBS This Morning that he hugged her and other aides in a 'sexual way' for his 'satisfaction'.

Brittany Commisso spoke out for the first time in a pre-taped interview that was previewed on Sunday and aired in part on Monday morning.

It is the first time she has been named publicly. In the Attorney General's report, she is referred to as 'Executive Assistant One'. Commisso says that Cuomo sexually harassed her for months when she worked for him but that it culminated in November 2020, when he groped her breast under her blouse in his office at the Executive Mansion - a claim he denies.

The Governor insists he is innocent and that the women are lying or have misinterpreted his affection for harassment.

'Those were not the hugs that he would give his mother or his brother. These were hugs with the intention of getting some person, sexual satisfaction,' she said.

She added that he would then hug her and kiss her on the cheek and once 'turned his head' to kiss her 'on the lips' at the last second.

Commisso has reported what she says happened to her to sheriffs in Albany. She wants Cuomo to be criminally charged. He has suggested that she is also planning to file a lawsuit.

Commisso says Cuomo groped her butt shortly before they took this selfie in his office in 2019. She claims they moved to the couch so he couldn't 'rub' her behind like she'd claimed he'd done when they were standing up

She said that he once also 'rubbed her butt' while they took a selfie together.

'I had to go over to the mansion to help him with the state of the state speech

'While I was there, the Governor said, "why don't you take a selfie?" I then felt, while taking the selfie, his hand go down my back onto my butt. He started rubbing it - not sliding it, not quickly brushing over it, rubbing my butt.'

She says that she only decided to come forward in March this year after listening to him deny the allegations of other women at one of his press conferences.

'That was the tipping point. I broke down. I felt like he was personally saying it to me.

'He thinks that he is untouchable... people don't understand. He is a professional fighter.'

She called his repeated denials of her allegations 'disgusting', adding: 'I know the truth and he knows the truth. I know what happened and so does he.'

She described the breast groping incident in more detail, saying she feared someone else working in the Executive Mansion would think they were doing something inappropriate because the Governor slammed the door of his office so hard when she entered the room.

'I said, "Governor, you're going to get us in trouble." Then I thought to myself, that probably wasn't the best thing to say.

'That's when he put his hand up my blouse and cupped my breast over my bra. I remember seeing his hand, which is a large hand, and thinking "oh my God, this is happening."

'He didn't say anything,' she said.

Last week, she filed a criminal complaint with the Albany sheriff's office.

The sheriff, Craig Apple, told reporters on Saturday his agency and the county district attorney's office would conduct a thorough investigation before determining whether a criminal charge is supported.

'It was the right thing to do. The Governor needs to be held accountable. What he did to me was a crime. He broke the law.'

There are three ongoing criminal investigations into the Governor - one in Manhattan, one in Albany and one in Westchester.

No charges have been filed anywhere.

A committee that has been investigating whether or not to launch impeachment proceedings against the Governor for months has also asked him to submit evidence to plead his case.

He and his attorneys have until August 13 to do that.

Cuomo is refusing to resign in the meantime but Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul, who would replace him, has told people in government she imagines she will take over in a 'matter of weeks.'

The Wall Street Journal reported on Sunday that she had been seeking advice on what her first steps in office should be once she takes over.

Cuomo has denied any wrongdoing, though he has acknowledged that his efforts to be affectionate with people he encounters may have made some people uncomfortable.

His lawyer, Rita Glavin, told reporters on Friday that Commisso's account was fabricated, citing emails and other documentary evidence she said undermines her story.

Cuomo is accused of groping Commisso an event last November after routinely engaging in a pattern of impropriate conduct that began in late 2019.

The report says Cuomo repeatedly sexually harassed Commisso when she worked for him by subjecting her to 'close and intimate hugs', 'kisses on the cheeks and forehead', 'at least one kiss on the lips' and 'touching her butt'.
