Parents of ten-week-old baby girl who died from head injury and suffered 19 fractured ribs and broken leg appear in court charged with her murder
The parents of a ten-week-old girl who died from a serious head injury have today appeared at the Old Bailey charged with her murder.
Lily-Mai Hurrell Saint George was found unresponsive at a flat in Haringey, north London, with 19 rib fractures, a broken leg and severe bruising in January 2017.
She died two days later at Great Ormond Street Hospital on February 2, 2018.
Lauren Saint George and Darren Hurrell, both 24, today appeared at the Old Bailey via video link from Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court.

They are both charged with murder and causing death by neglect, but did not enter any pleas.
Lily-Mai was born prematurely and spent the first two months of her life in Barnet Hospital, before she was discharged into her parents’ care on January 25, 2018.
Saint George, of Enfield in north London, and Hurrell, of Alvaston in Derby, spoke only to confirm their identities.
They were released on conditional bail, with a plea hearing listed for September 29.
