Mum living in one of Australia's luckiest postcodes scoops $1million jackpot on the Lotto – but dreams to instantly spend it are dashed
A mother has ended 2020 on the right note when she discovered she was $1million richer after winning the Lotto.
The woman from Edmonton, Far North Queensland, won in Wednesday's draw.
'I've been playing the same numbers for years, but I never thought I'd win that much. That's lovely! Just lovely,' she said upon discovering her win.

She said she would love to set up her family for the future and enjoy a luxury foreign holiday - but her dreams are unlikely to be fulfilled thanks to the coronavirus pandemic.
'I'd love to go on a holiday somewhere next year too. I just want to go to paradise for a day or so,' she said.
Australians have been banned from going abroad in all but exceptional circumstances since March 20 to stop the virus from being imported into the country.
Far North Queensland has seen many winners throughout the year.
The anonymous winner purchased her ticket from Edmonton Tobacco Station on Walker Street.
Edmonton is tenth on the Queensland list of postcodes where Lotto winning tickets are sold.

The winning numbers Wednesday's draw were 21, 2, 32, 30, 11 and 5, while the supplementary numbers were 25 and 42.
There were four winners – three from New South Wales and one from Queensland.
Thursday holds the opportunity for more millionaires in Powerball's $8million draw, while Saturday Gold Lotto's Megadraw has $30 million up for grabs.
Tonight's Set for Life draw offers players the chance to win a division one prize of $20,000 a month for 20 years.
