Devastated pet owner who lost her dog named Bruce makes an extraordinary gesture that will melt your heart

A grieving dog owner has set up a memorial for their deceased pet at a popular beach with a basket of free balls for other walkers.

'In loving memory of Bruce,' the note began

'Please help yourself to a tennis ball for your dog to enjoy. You may also wish to pop it back in the box afterwards for another dog to play with. If you wish to keep it that's fine too!

'Remember to live each moment like your dog with unconditional love, loyalty and happiness.'
