A woman has died and a 15-year-old boy has been arrested after a suspected stabbing rampage inside a home in a quiet suburban Melbourne street.
The woman, 42, was found with critical stab wounds at a Narre Warren property about 1pm on Monday but later died in hospital, according to 7 News.
A three-year-old girl and a 70-year-old woman were also taken to hospital in a serious condition.
Police arrested a 15-year-old boy at the scene and took him to hospital under police guard with serious injuries.
A neighbour said from the outside the family seemed to have no issues.

'They looked like a normal family,' the resident said.
'It is shocking to hear. It must be pretty bad, judging on all the police that are here.'
The child had also reportedly been stabbed in what is suspected to be a domestic violence-related incident.
The family's two eldest children attend the nearby Narre Warren South P-12 College, The Herald Sun reported.
An elderly woman reportedly lives at the property where she looks after her three grandchildren.
Witnesses said the family's middle-aged mother was comforting her youngest child on the lawn immediately after the stabbing.

A caller on 3AW's Drive with Tom Elliot said she believed 'knives were involved' in the incident.
Homicide detectives were seen combing the home for evidence on Monday afternoon.

The school is not believed to have gone into lockdown though.
'Investigators are yet to determine the exact circumstances,' a Victoria Police spokesman said.
