Woman, 49, 'sets a girl's hair on FIRE on a bus in an unprovoked attack'

A woman has been charged for allegedly setting a girl's hair on fire during a bus ride in Adelaide.

The teenage girl was travelling through Davoren Park north of the city on June 29 when the unprovoked attack happened.

She suffered minor burns to her scalp.

A 49-year-old woman was arrested on Thursday and charged with aggravated assault causing harm and handed a three-month transit barring order, SA Police said on Friday.

She was bailed to appear in Elizabeth Magistrates Court on December 3.
