A woman has been killed and 19 people are injured after the double axle trailer they were riding in overturned and slid down a wooded ravine on Saturday night.

Amy Swinderman, of Hamilton, Illinois died in the accident that took place during a hayride at a family gathering in Hancock County.

The 32-year-old mother and others were sat on square hay bales in the trailer, which was being pulled by a tractor driven by Wayne York, 41.

But York lost control at an incline, causing the vehicle to slide down and the wagon to flip.

'With all of the emotional pain and stress that a death brings, it also brings financial burdens. We are trying to raise money for Josh and their children to help with any costs that will incur and to help wherever needed.'
