Fox Business anchor Lou Dobbs says he 'doesn't know why anyone would vote for Lindsey Graham' as the Republican falls in the polls in the battle for his Senate seat

Fox Business anchor Lou Dobbs has lashed out at Senate Judiciary Chairman and South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham saying he doesn't know why anyone would want to vote for the Republican.

Graham, who is a four-term senator and fierce Trump defender is currently locked in a reelection battle against Democrat Jaime Harrison.

Dobbs' frustration boiled over as he lashed out at Graham for 'not subpoenaing the left-wing heads of the censorships Twitter and Facebook until after the election.'

'I don't know why anyone in the great state of South Carolina would ever vote for Lindsey Graham,' Dobbs said. 'It's just outrageous'

'I don't know why anyone in the great state of South Carolina would ever vote for Lindsey Graham. It's just outrageous,' Dobbs said. 'This is the guy who keeps saying, "Stay tuned." He said he would get to the bottom of Obamagate with the Judiciary Committee, which has been a year and a half, actually longer, of absolute inert response to these pressing issues of our day.'

Dobbs went on to note how Graham was harshly criticized by Trump when he was a candidate during his 2016 election campaign when he called him 'one of the dumbest human beings I've ever seen'.

Trump also called the senator 'a nut job'.

'I believe that the president's words about the senator then, apply today,' Dobbs said.

'Graham has betrayed President Trump at almost every turn,' Dobbs went on.

'He has betrayed the American people and his oath of office. He's done absolutely nothing to investigate Obamagate except to tell everyone, "Stay tuned," time and time again. Stay tuned. Senator Graham needs to be tuned out in South Carolina.'

Dobbs's scathing attack also earned praise from an anti-Trump GOP group The Lincoln Project.

'The Lincoln Project rarely agrees with Lou Dobbs, but today we join in his sentiments that South Carolinians should not re-elect the spineless, do-nothing dead weight Senator Lindsey Graham,' the group wrote in a statement. 'Lindsey Graham is a weak man with a weak character. While we hate to give Lou Dobbs any credibility, when he's right, he's right and should be commended for calling out Graham for being the pathetic swamp rat he is.'

Graham is currently in a heated reelection battle against Democrat Jaime Harrison.

Harrison set a Senate fundraising record, raising $57 million in the third quarter, beating out the previous record held by Rep. Beto O'Rourke for raising $38.1 million in his bid to oust Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz in 2018.

Recent polls shows an extremely tight race in South Carolina with polls suggesting Graham either tied with Harrison or just a few points ahead.

Dobbs' visceral attack came after the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee said on Friday the chief executives of Twitter and Facebook will testify before the panel on November 17 over their decision to block stories that made claims about Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden's son.

The Judiciary committee voted 12-0 on Thursday to subpoena Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.

The executives will testify on allegations of anti-conservative bias, the committee said.

The companies have come under heavy criticism from conservatives over their decision to flag two New York Post stories as spreading disinformation.

The hearings come just over a week after Dorsey apologized when Twitter blocked a story about Joe Biden and his dealings in Ukraine leading to accusations of censorship and election interference.

Many say it demonstrates big tech's bias towards the left, given the fact that many anti-Trump stories have been posted and shared online without intervention despite denials from the President or conservatives over the years.

Dorsey tweeted that his company's actions had been 'unacceptable' and explained there had been a lack of communication surrounding Twitter's decision which was 'unacceptable' but that he stood by the decision to block it.

'Our communication around our actions on the NYPost article was not great. And blocking URL sharing via tweet or DM with zero context as to why we're blocking: unacceptable,' he said.

He then linked to a statement from the company that said it was restricting the link because 'personal and private information' had been shared in the story.

The Post story says that the former Vice President met with Ukrainian businessman Vadym Pozharskyi, as associate of his son Hunter, months before Biden would pressure Ukrainian officials to fire a prosecutor who was investigating Pozharskyi's firm.

Twitter claimed that they placed the restrictions on the articles as they contained personal information such as phone numbers, as well as information that had been hacked.
