EXCLUSIVE: Female geography teacher, 23, accused of repeatedly having sex with her 14-year-old student begs court to let her out of house arrest so she can go on a family holiday

A female teacher accused of repeatedly having sex with her 14-year-old student has been told she cannot go on a family holiday while she's on house arrest.

Geography teacher Monica Elizabeth Young, 23, faces a string of charges over her alleged illicit liaisons with the boy during June and July.

The allegations include driving the boy to a western Sydney park and clambering on top of him to have sex in her car.

After five weeks behind bars, she was finally granted bail on August 13 when her 87-year-old grandmother Sybil put up her house to cover the $850,000 bail.

The glamorous teacher is engaged to be married (left, with her fiance) and had just secured a new job teaching at a Sydney. But now she faces the likelihood of a criminal trial over claims she repeatedly had sex with one of her 14-year-old students

The NSW Supreme Court clamped her with strict bail conditions including house arrest except for reporting to police every day, escorted by her parents.

However, Young's parents had booked a five-day family holiday to Summerland Point on Lake Macquarie on Saturday.

The family appeared in Burwood Local Court on Wednesday to beg Magistrate Susan Horan to let the accused paedophile come along.

Mr and Mrs Young penned a letter to the court pleading their case, but court officials refused to release its content to Daily Mail Australia.

Young's solicitor Gazi Abbas told the court the accused was happy to report twice a day to Swansea police station during the October 17 to 21 holiday.

'I don't think its extremely controversial, and it would be unfair the her parents if they can't go,' he said.

'It would be quite a big burden if the application is not accepted.'

The prosecutor opposed the application, arguing it increased the risk of her interfering with another child who was a witness.

'If it is granted, she would be at liberty… the bail conditions would be very difficult to enforce,' she said.

Magistrate Horan agreed with the prosecution, ruling the unacceptable risks were too great to allow Young's request.

'The defendant engaged in risk taking behave sometimes proximity to students... and serious lack of judgement,' she said.

'The Supreme Court imposed strict bail conditions for good reason. The risks not mitigated by the defence's and would allow her freer movement. 

'I hear what you're saying, her planned trip and may not be able to go and that may be unfair, but they offered themselves up.'

Mr Abbas said Young was living with her grandmother, but her parents drove her to and from her bail reporting as her grandmother was unable to.

He asked that if Young wasn't allowed to go to Summerland Point, she be exempt from reporting to police on those days and be confined to the house.

The prosecution did not oppose this and Magistrate Horan agreed to it.  

A police statement of facts tendered in court in August said Young - who is charged with repeated sex with the boy - is accused of having intercourse with her pupil in her car that afternoon.

Investigators have obtained CCTV footage allegedly showing Young's car approaching the park, according to material before the court.

But the recordings do not capture what happened inside the vehicle. And Young, who was released from prison on Friday, vehemently denies any sex occurred, the NSW Supreme Court heard.

Police also allege in court documents that, on another occasion, the boy put his hand inside Young's tights and fondled her vagina in a classroom. 

Young is accused of having incited the boy to touch her by placing his hand on her thigh. 

Police believe that the incident may have been seen by another student, describing him in court as a 'potential witness'. 

But the court heard in August the boy has declined to make a statement to police and has retained a lawyer to represent him.

Young vehemently denies she had sex with a 14-year-old boy in her care  

After a month behind bars at Silverwater Women's Prison, Young - who has no criminal record - was granted bail in a last ditch bid to the NSW Supreme Court on Thursday.  

At the hearing, her barrister Ian Lloyd QC told the court that the Crown was 'exaggerating' when prosecutors claimed there was CCTV showing she had placed the boy's hand on her leg. 

Quoting from the police fact sheet, Mr Lloyd said: '(The victim) says she placed his hand down her tights. 

'It's then said this was captured by CCTV which shows the victim's arm outstretched, his hand hidden under the table.

'That's the true statement of what the CCTV shows. It does not show any sexual assault.'  

Likewise, Mr Lloyd told the court a Snapchat she sent to the boy of herself lying on the bed saying 'I'm waiting for him' did not show any sexual activity.

He told the court she was fully clothed at the time.

Mr Lloyd also told the judge Young had a reason to be in possession of a tube of lubricant that the boy apparently asked his friend to buy him. 

'My strong instructions are the complainant was with other boys and there was some giggling going on.

'And she saw him with the tube of lubricant and confiscated from him ... you may well think that's appropriate to do.'

The Crown opposed bail, arguing that the case against Young 'is not weak at all' and was supported by CCTV footage.

Prosecutor Scott Jaegar claimed Young could pose a risk to the alleged victim - who did not want her released in case she targeted 'other children'. 

Mr Jaegar argued there was a risk that Young could offend further. 

When the student's mother realised something was going on, Young changed her Snapchat identity to that of a young boy 'so not to arouse suspicion', Mr Jaegar told the court.  

Mr Abbas has previously indicated Young, who was engaged to be married, will take the matter to trial.  

'At this stage there is no real corroboration of any of the complaints,' a source familiar with the investigation said. 'It's his words against hers.' 

The case returns to court on September 2. Her job at the school has been terminated.

A well-placed source said this charge relates to her allegedly sending an explicit Snapchat video and asking for one in return

* July 10: Young is arrested at home and charged. Fiance says he's doesn't believe the charges

* July 13: Young is refused bail; lawyer denies 'sexual impropriety'

* July 20: Young's Supreme Court bail bid is briefly mentioned at the Supreme Court 

* July 30: A second local court bail bid is refused 

* August 13: Young is granted bail by the New South Wales Supreme Court
