Ex-boyfriend of woman found dead in her driveway with her throat slashed is charged with her brutal murder - as her final moments alive are revealed
A woman who was found dead in the driveway of a unit block with her throat slashed had returned from a night out with friends when she was allegedly ambushed by her ex-boyfriend and brutally murdered.
Lynda Greenwood was found bleeding outside her unit on Cremona Road in Como in southern Sydney at about 12.30am on Tuesday.
Neighbours in the apartment complex desperately tried to revive the 39-year-old after hearing what 'sounded like a baby screaming', but they were unsuccessful and she died at the scene.
Police later arrested Ms Greenwood's 39-year-old 'on-again-off-again' boyfriend Jason Lloyd at a housing commission block in Sylvania.

Ms Greenwood had an apprehended violence order against him after domestic violence incidents that offered her protection until at least 2021.
Police allege Mr Lloyd hid in the bushes of Ms Geenwood's driveway until she got home to attack, 9News reports.
Ms Greenwood had been out at a pub with friends in Jannali in the evening before making her way home via the driveway.
Detective Superintendent Jason Box on Tuesday afternoon said police had records of domestic violence incidents involving the couple in 2019.
'The male and female were involved in an on and off relationship for the past two years,' he said on Tuesday afternoon.
'I can confirm that there was a current AVO in place for the deceased female.'

Police confirmed Ms Greenwood had an apprehended violence order against Mr Lloyd before the alleged attack
Mr Lloyd has been charged with Ms Greenwood's murder and was refused bail to appear before Sutherland Local Court on Wednesday.
'Extremely tragic, domestic violence, the loss of any life if tragic and especially under these circumstances,' Superintendent Box said.
'It involved neighbours who unfortunately had to involve themselves, and then there's the family.'
The neighbours who discovered Ms Greenwood's body will be offered support.
Police have not yet found a weapon, but explained she was found with 'extensive wounds' to her upper body.
They would not confirm how the wounds were sustained or what kind of weapon they are searching for.
Police allege Mr Lloyd hid in the driveway until Ms Greenwood returned home from her local pub to attack
Detectives have determined Ms Greenwood died in the driveway of her property after midnight.
She had spent the several hours prior to her death at her local pub and staff reported she left about 12am.
Her home was just a three minute drive or 25 minute walk from the venue, which has been her local for seven years.
Neighbours said they saw a man running from the scene.
A woman who lives in another unit in the complex said she was shocked to learn of the tragedy so close to home.
Another neighbour, known only as Janice, said she saw Ms Greenwood in the pub before her death.
'We saw her last night about 10 o'clock up in the pub at Jannali and to see somebody and then the next time you see her to be a body on the ground is a bit devastating,' she said.
