Fans campaign for the ABC to bring back The Cook and the Chef - 11 years after the program hosted by Maggie Beer and Simon Bryant was axed

ABC TV's cooking show The Cook and the Chef was axed in 2009 after four seasons.

But now, fans of the program are calling for co-hosts Maggie Beer and Simon Bryant to reunite and film new episodes, more than a decade after it finished airing.

'I absolutely loved the show. This is what cooking should be... It was great to see the connection with Maggie and Simon. I'd love to see them get together again for a few more episodes. I for one would be watching,' one person wrote on Facebook.

'This is still my favourite show to this day and I love catching the repeats. It would be awesome if there was a reunion show,' another said.
