Woman sues former Calvin Klein chief and major Bill Clinton donor for allegedly giving her herpes
A woman claims a major Bill Clinton
donor and the former boss of Calvin Klein infected her with herpes after
they met though a dating website.
Arnold Simon is accused of having unprotected sex with the woman and infecting her with the disease despite assuring her he was free of STDs and underwent regular tests.
According to a lawsuit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, Mr Simon met the woman on Match.com and took her to the plush Surrey Hotel bar where he spent most of the night boasting about his expensive clothes and his links to the former president.
The woman told the New York Post:
'He wrote an e-mail that he was very handsome and tall and a well-built
man. He refers to himself as looking like Humphrey Bogart.
'He told me that he had just gotten back from a lunch with Clinton; he is a close personal friend with Bill Clinton.'
Simon allegedly told the woman that he had lunch with the former president, earlier that day on the Upper East Side adding that the former president 'likes to eat organic because he has a heart condition.
By the woman's account, the first date
went well, with dinner at The Mark hotel followed by jazz at The
Carlyle and after Simon sent her a dozen roses the following morning,
she agreed to another on Feb 10.
She added: 'He picked me up in an Audi. He had a driver. He said, "I’ll bring my Bentley the next time." He takes me to Scalinatella. Everyone knew him there. They put us at a nice table.'
The woman claims the pair went back to Simon's apartment where they became intimate and she asked him whether he had any STDs.
He apparently insisted he was clean even adding that he had undergone regular tests.
However two weeks later she found out she had herpes.
The woman added: 'I absolutely should have used a condom. I let my guard down.'
The woman is seeking unspecified monetary damages.
