It's still a very trying time': Peter Andre opens up about coping
He was left devastated when his beloved brother Andrew passed away just before Christmas.
Speaking out about the loss, the pop star has admitted that he is still struggling to come to terms with what happened, but is trying to turn a negative into a positive by launching his own charity.
Talking about his brother's death on This Morning on Tuesday, he said: 'Sometimes people lose friends and distant relatives and they feel sorry, but there's not a pain that you feel when it's directly.'

And you do go back to work and you think 'what am I doing? why am I back doing this?' he admitted.

Peter and his family agreed for his reality show, My Life, which showed Andrew's final days, to be broadcast just a couple of weeks after his death.


Coping
with the pain: Peter admitted that although it's been a painful
experience, he needs to help others who are in the same position
'We've got to do something': Peter has decided to team up with Cancer Research UK to launch his own foundation'Yes, you slightly grieve publicly... but you deal with things front on and I'm so glad that the show seems to be doing well,' he added.
Looking for a way to deal with Andrew's death and help other people who are going through the same thing, the star has teamed up with Cancer Research to launch The Peter Andre Foundation.
Moving forward: Despite his grief, the reality star is doing his best to focus on his family and girlfriend Emily'And then eventually you turn around and say 'hang on a second, we've got to do something' because there are many families that are going through this now,' he added.
'I'm not coming here thinking that I'm going to change the world, but me and my family want to help get one step closer to the cures and they are getting so close,' he said.
Speaking about girlfriend girlfriend Emily MacDonagh, Peter said: 'She's an amazing amazing girl. Being completely out of the industry that we're in, you can go home and talk about the things that are completely different.'
Beloved brother: Andrew's final days were shown just a few weeks after his death on Peter's ITV2 reality showAndrew was diagnosed with cancer in February last year and within weeks had flown to the UK from his home in Australia so he could be with his family while going through treatment.
Since the spring, Andrew and his wife Magda had been living with Peter and his two children Junior and Princess at the singer's Sussex home.
When Peter was told by doctors that his brother didn't have long to live, he said it was the 'worst possible end to the year'.
