It's still a very trying time': Peter Andre opens up about coping

He was left devastated when his beloved brother Andrew passed away just before Christmas.
Speaking out about the loss, the pop star has admitted that he is still struggling to come to terms with what happened, but is trying to turn a negative into a positive by launching his own charity.
Talking about his brother's death on This Morning on Tuesday, he said: 'Sometimes people lose friends and distant relatives and they feel sorry, but there's not a pain that you feel when it's directly.'

'Yes, you slightly grieve publicly... but you deal with things front on and I'm so glad that the show seems to be doing well,' he added.
Looking for a way to deal with Andrew's death and help other people who are going through the same thing, the star has teamed up with Cancer Research to launch The Peter Andre Foundation.

'Today is all about a positive angle on this... when a tragedy happens in your family, you get angry at the disease, you turn your back on it, you don't want to know about it,' he said.
'And then eventually you turn around and say 'hang on a second, we've got to do something' because there are many families that are going through this now,' he added.
'I'm not coming here thinking that I'm going to change the world, but me and my family want to help get one step closer to the cures and they are getting so close,' he said.
Speaking about girlfriend girlfriend Emily MacDonagh, Peter said: 'She's an amazing amazing girl. Being completely out of the industry that we're in, you can go home and talk about the things that are completely different.'

'She's a lovely lovely girl and she's out there saving lives. In a year from now she'll be Doctor Emily... I'm really proud of her,' he added.
Andrew was diagnosed with cancer in February last year and within weeks had flown to the UK from his home in Australia so he could be with his family while going through treatment.
Since the spring, Andrew and his wife Magda had been living with Peter and his two children Junior and Princess at the singer's Sussex home.
When Peter was told by doctors that his brother didn't have long to live, he said it was the 'worst possible end to the year'.
