Now that the celebrity has been given the sack from the show, he has lost his chance to become a businessman. This is however probably the least of his troubles after the star announced that the FBI wants to recruit him as an informant in the troubled area of North Korea according to a report from CBS.com released on Monday 15th April.
Rodman had recently been filming an HBO documentary whilst staying in North Korea and since he returned home, the basketball legend had conducted an interview with the Miami Herald, during which he was apparently contacted by the FBI to work as an informant.
Rodman has been quoted as saying I met with them. They wanted to know what went on and who’s really in charge in North Korea.”
Following his trip to North Korea, Rodman came out with the strange comment that leader Kim Jong-Un was now a “friend for life”. He even went on to say that he has been invited to travel back to the troubled country in August this year.
Rodman then went on to say, “I’m not a total idiot; I know what Kim Jong-un is threatening to do regarding his military muscle. I hope it doesn’t happen because America will take whatever actions to protect America and our allies.”
It is currently unknown as to how much help the former pro could be in this situation, as more threats appear to be getting stronger by North Korea every week. It seems somewhat ironic that only a few weeks ago, Rodman was fired from “Celebrity Apprentice” for a simple misspelling and now is being recruited as an FBI informant.
Though it still appears that Rodman thinks he could help the situation and was quoted as saying "I do think, umm, you know, that we have to talk to people who want to cause us harm so hopefully they won't. I've been talking to folks for years who don't get what I'm about but that's cool, 'cause once they walk away they like me. I might be able to keep folks' heads cool. We all going to find a way to get along and keep peace. Peace and love is where it is at, Lesley."
