A Pennsylvania mall was evacuated this afternoon after a bomb threat was written on a note found in a fitting room.
According to police, the note said there were three bombs at the Mall at Robinson in Robinson Township, Pennsylvania, just 12 miles outside downtown Pittsburgh.
The note which was typed and was found at Sears, stated that bombs would go off if not found.
No specific time, location or reason was given.
The mall was closed just after 1:30pm on Sunday. Officials are now searching every store. The shopping mall will remain closed until tomorrow.
City and County Police as well as the Allegheny County bomb Squad are at the scene and investigating.
Officials at the mall issued a statement on Sunday afternoon:
'Following the incident at Mall at Robinson earlier today, we have been working with, and will continue to work closely with, local authorities to help them with their investigation. We can confirm that the authorities are on site in response to a bomb threat.
The safety of our guests, employees and tenants is our top priority and we have evacuated the Mall, which will remain closed through the end of today so the authorities can complete their investigation.
