'Men are still men': Conservative commentator Allie Beth Stuckey posts defiant tweet as she's released from 'Twitter jail' after ban for calling transgender New Zealand Olympian Laurel Hubbard a man

Conservative commentator Allie Beth Stuckey has been released from 'Twitter jail' after calling transgender Olympic athlete Laurel Hubbard a 'man.'

On Thursday, Stuckey took to the social media site to comment on the New Zealand athlete who made history at the Tokyo Olympics for being the first openly transgender person to compete in any sport.

Hubbard, who was born male, competed in the women's weightlifting competition but came up short, prompting Stuckey to tweet: 'Laura Hubbard failing at the event doesn't make his inclusion fair,' Stuckey posted. 'He's still a man, and men shouldn't compete against women in weightlifting.'

Twitter did not take the comments lightly and suspended her account for 12 hours.

The site said her post violated it's hateful conduct' policy, which that users 'may not promote violence against, threaten, or harass' people for their gender identity.

'Twitter has suspended me for 12 hours for saying Laurel Hubbard is a man, which is objectively true. What's that Orwell quote? Something about the further people get from the truth the more people will hate those who say it?' Stuckey wrote Thursday on an Instagram post that showed a screenshot of her suspension.

The following day after her stint in 'Twitter jail' Stuckey responded to her suspension and doubled down on her initial statements.

'Good morning. I'm out of Twitter jail. Men are still men. Thank you,' Stuckey tweeted.

Stuckey doubled down on her comments, telling the Christian outlet Faithwire that she has no intention of backing down from her comments about Hubbard.

'As a Christian, I know two things to be true,' Stuckey said in a statement. 'One, all people are made in God's image, no matter their stated identity and, therefore, have immense value and, two, men are men and women are women.'

'Biology matters,' she added. 'Sex differences matter. Facts matter. I won't budge on this.'

Hubbard began competing as a female in 2015, and prior to 2013, she participated in men's competitions.

After leaving the competition, Hubbard thanked the IOC for being 'extraordinarily supportive,' and said 'I know my participation in these games has not been entirely without controversy'

Hubbard exited the Games on Monday after failing on all three lifts in the snatch portion of the women's +87kg competition, recording a 'did not finish,' ESPN reported.

After leaving the competition, Hubbard thanked the IOC for being 'extraordinarily supportive,' and said 'I know my participation in these games has not been entirely without controversy.'

Twitter recently suspended another conservative voice on the platform, Fox News reported.

Last week Twitter suspended Dave Rubin, host of 'The Rubin Report', for a tweet that allegedly violated its policy on spreading coronavirus misinformation.

Following his suspension Twitter admitted that its actions against his account were made as an 'error.'
