'I just designed our brand new MAGA Hat!': Trump unveils updated red campaign hat and offers to sign it for supporters for $25
Donald Trump has unveiled an updated version of his iconic MAGA hat - and claims he turned fashion designer to come up with its new look.
The former president sent a fundraising email to his supporters over the weekend announcing the updated hat.
It says 'MAGA' in white letters, edged in gold, with the hat itself still the classic Republican party shade of red. The original hat spelt the words that MAGA stands for - Make America Great Again - individually, but the acronym is now so well-known it has effectively become a word in itself.
'I just designed our BRAND NEW MAGA Hat and I want YOU to have it,' Trump wrote in the email, which was obtained by the New York Post. 'You've always been one of my most LOYAL supporters, so I don't want you to have just ANY hat… I want YOU to have the MAGA Hat that I personally HAND-SIGNED for YOU.'

Trump, pictured in November 2020, released an email to his supporters announcing the new hat. It read: 'I just designed our BRAND NEW MAGA Hat and I want YOU to have it'
'Our movement isn't slowing down, in fact, it's only speeding up. That's why I wanted to design a NEW HAT for all of our best supporters,' Trump's email stated.
The email also offered supporters a limited edition version of the hat with Trump's signature on the rim with the option to donate $25, $50, $100, or $250.
The unsigned version of the new MAGA hat is available for sale on Trump's website.

The former president also released a 'Keep America Great' hat when he was running for re-election in 2020 and a 'Save America' hat earlier this year.

Trump is currently on his Save America campaign trail in which he is campaigning for other Republican candidates running in the upcoming election.
According to Trump's website, the Save America movement aims to 'put America first, to save the American economy, and to make America once again a shining city on the hill'.
It is unclear if Trump will tout his new hat at his Aug. 21 rally in Alabama.
He has also kept tight-lipped on whether he plans to run again for president in 2024.
Trump has repeatedly teased that he might - and remains hugely popular among Republicans.
But he also enjoys acting as a de-facto Republican kingmaker with a great deal of influence over his potential successors' popularity.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is currently tipped as the most likely Republican presidential candidate for 2024 should Trump, 75, reveal he has no plans to run.
