Gang of youths risk death by climbing up train station's signal gantry just inches from 25,000 live overhead wires
Four teenagers have been warned not to trespass on the railway after they were seen just inches from 25,000 volt live wires that could kill them instantly.
The youths left onlookers aghast as they diced with death at Kirby Cross station in rural Essex.
The boys climbed up the metal signal gantry - a metal structure normally used by specialised maintenance engineers who follow strict safety regulations.
In a series of shocking images the boys appear to be completely oblivious to the dangers of the overhead wires which carry up to 25,000 volts.
The incredible voltage running through the lines meant the teenagers would not have to touch them to be killed, because the power is so strong it can 'latch' on to anyone who gets too close.

Railway bosses have called for the teens to use some common sense and Richard Tew, Network Rail's head of safety in East Anglia, slammed their actions.
He said: 'These youths were completely oblivious to the nearby overhead wires which carry up to 25,000 volts and can kill instantly or leave the person with life changing injuries if they survive.
'The hidden dangers on the railway are real and have far-reaching and devastating consequences for anyone who trespasses, which also affect family, friends and communities.

'Trespassing on any part of the railway isn't worth the risk. If your friends are trespassing, don't follow them.'
A total of 17 people died between 2019 and 2020 after trespassing.
The exact date of the trespassing at Kirby Cross is unknown but is thought to have happened in the past seven days.
