Snowboarding legend Scotty James sells his stunning South Melbourne townhouse for a cool $1.3 million and watches the nail-biting sale from Switzerland
Snowboarder Scotty James had sold his South Melbourne home for a cool $1.3 million.
The 27-year-old Olympic medallist's townhouse went under the hammer during a virtual auction on Saturday, according to realestate.com.au.
Scotty was watching the sale unfold from Switzerland.

The winner of the virtual auction turned out to be the original under bidder, who competed with the snowboarder to purchase the cosy property back in 2018.
'It was a bit of twist, because the buyer was actually the under bidder who had competed against Scotty for the property,' says Greg Hocking Holdsworth Albert Park’s Josh Allison.
Allison went on to explain the under bidder originally 'didn't have enough money' in 2018, but she got a 'second chance three years later.'

The stylish and modern interior design of the property gives it a very contemporary and homely appeal.
Property manager Josh Allison tried to get Scotty on the phone during the auction, but says it was 'challenging' due to the reception.

'I tried to get Scott on the phone to see if I should pass it in or not, but there was something wrong with the phone line.'
Allison claims the world-champion snowboarder was 'happy' Greg Hocking managed to sell the renovated, fully furnished townhouse as he plans to stay overseas.
Scotty James won the bronze medal at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang County, South Korea.
He is also the holder of several gold, silver and bronze medals from different world championships and the Winter X Games in Aspen.
