Moment cops arrest a shirtless man as part of their probe into the cold-blooded execution of crime boss Bassam Hamzy's brother - as two men are expected to be charged over the murder
New South Wales Police have arrested a man as part of their investigation into the execution of underworld figure Mejid Hamzy, brother of jailed Brothers 4 Life gang leader Bassam Hamzy.
A social media post by police on Wednesday morning showed a detective and masked police from the specialist squad Strike Force Raptor arresting a shirtless man sitting on the lawn outside a brown brick home.
Police said they had arrested a 38-year-old man who was expected to be charged with murder.

Mejid Hamzy, 44, is the brother of jailed Brothers 4 Life gang leader Bassam Hamzy
Mejid Hamzy died from multiple gunshot wounds after being ambushed by gunmen in the driveway of his Condell Park home on October 19, 2020
Another 44-year-old man was expected to be charged in relation to the concealment of a vehicle allegedly used in the incident.
Mejid Hamzy, 44, was ambushed by gunmen in his driveway about 7.30am on October 19 last year and died at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds.
In March, police released CCTV footage of cars they believe were used in the crime - a grey Toyota Rav 4 and a matte black Mercedes Benz.
They later released vision of a third vehicle of interest - a white BMW 328i - in a mission to elicit further information from the public about the crime.
Police said the three cars in the CCTV footage had travelled in convoy from Moorebank to Condell Park.
The Toyota was found burnt out at Yagoona a short time later. The Mercedes and the BMW returned to Moorebank before travelling to Luddenham.
Hamzy's death is believe to be linked to a gang war between the underworld Alameddine and Hamzy families.
A friend of the Alameddine family was assaulted just days before Mejid Hamzy's murder.
On the night of June 17, Hamzy's cousin - Bilal Hamze - was ambushed and executed by gunmen after leaving a restaurant in Bridge Street, in the heart of Sydney's CBD, in what police feared was an escalation of violence between the feuding families.
