John Mulaney has officially filed for divorce from his wife Anna Marie Tendler after seven years of marriage.
The 38-year-old comedian made the divorce filing this Friday in New York, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.
Their separation went public in mid-May and Anna publicly declared herself 'heartbroken' over the collapse of her marriage.

When news broke of their split Page Six insiders said that John requested a divorce from her as early as February shortly after he left rehab.
He had entered a 60-day stint at a treatment facility for cocaine addiction and alcoholism this past December, Page Six revealed.
John proposed to Anna Marie, a makeup artist, in 2013 and they tied the knot in July 2014 in a ceremony officiated by Dan Levy of Schitt's Creek fame.
'I am heartbroken that John has decided to end our marriage,' said Anna Marie in a statement. 'I wish him support and success as he continues his recovery.'

'This is very new, they're taking it slowly. They met at church in Los Angeles,' an insider in his camp told the magazine.
The speculation was sent into high gear when Olivia was glimpsed leaving John's home in Los Angeles near the end of June.

An insider told Us Weekly Olivia was 'so smitten' with John and feels he is her 'dream guy,' as well as that 'She has been sneaking into some of his shows and loves them.'
The source dished: John thinks Olivia is really smart and she makes him laugh too. They both have a very dry sense of humor.'
Early this month a Page Six source said that Anna Marie had been in the process of moving out of her marital home.
AJ Benza alleged on his podcast Fame Is A B**** that Anna Marie was at rehab at Silver Hill in Connecticut around the same time John was in treatment.

Shortly thereafter a Page Six source claimed that emotional problems and 'eating disorders' had caused Anna Marie to go to Silver Hill.
The insider claimed she declined to discuss any marital problems she may have been having but insisted it was 'clear she suffered during their marriage.'
MailOnline contacted Tendler's representatives for comment.

A couple of years ago John revealed in an Esquire profile that he was only 13 years old when he first began drinking.
'I wasn't a good athlete, so maybe it was some young male thing of: "This is the physical feat I can do. Three Vicodin and a tequila and I'm still standing. Who's the athlete now?"' quipped the Oh Hello star.
