Australia move into Day 7 of the Tokyo Olympic Games with a series of medal chances including a red hot favourite in the pool, the start of the athletics and huge games for the Matildas and Opals.

Emma McKeon will look to put the disappointment of Australia's 4x200m relay bronze behind her as she goes for gold in the women's 100m freestyle - an event she broke the Olympic record for her in heat.

Cate Campbell will also go for a medal in the final having qualified third-fastest.

The Matildas face an improved Great Britain in the quarters after holding off world no.1 USA for a 0-0 draw in their last game.

A win would see the girls into the semi-finals of the football.

Aussie world no.5 Brandon Starc will contest the men's high jump as the athletics gets under way.
