Nissan recalls 350,000 Pathfinder SUVs over brake light fault which limits engine power - and it’s not the first time there has been an issue
Nissan has issued an urgent recall to a range of their popular Pathfinder SUVs.
The recall, which covers Pathfinder models from 2013 to 2015, is due to a stop lamp relay becoming permanently stuck in the on position.
The problem can limit engine power and let drivers shift out of park or start the engine without a foot on the brake pedal.

More than 354,000 cars worldwide are affected by the recall, but the manufacterer is yet to reveal how many Australian vehicles are affected.
Product Safety Australia previously issued a recall on January 20 for the Nissan Infiniti Y51 Q70 model years between 2012 to 2015.
'Due to improper material and dimensions, the fatigue strength of the propeller shaft is lower than expected and the propeller shaft may crack and detach,' the statement read.
Five years ago, the car manufacturer issued a recall for their 2013 and 2014 Pathfinder models. The current recall includes the 2015 model.
In 2019, about 6,000 larger Pathfinder SUVs were recalled over a faulty oil seal in the antilock braking system.
Nissan will begin inspections and repairs to all affected cars in March.
