Robin Williams' 6,500-sq-ft Bay Area home finally sells for $5.35million after spending a year on the market and having asking price slashed from $7.25million

The former Bay Area home belonging to Robin Williams has sold for $5.35million - a nearly $2million drop from its initial asking price in November 2019.  

The six-bedroom home in Marin County had its first price cut in August 2020, when the $7.25milion asking price was slashed down to $5.995million, SF Gate reports.

The 6,500-square-foot residence at 95 Saint Thomas Way was built in 1987 and sits on a double lot with stunning views.

Outside, an iron gate surrounds a manicured front yard that is lined with olive trees and rose bushes. Rustic terracotta and decorative ceramic tile leads into the interior of the home. 

Looming mesquite wood double doors sit at the entrance, with the foyer leading immediately into the spacious living room. A stone fireplace sits in the living room, proving to be the main attraction of the living room.

The dining room sits next to the living room, getting ample light and offering stellar views. A custom made chandelier is the main centerpiece of the room, and a beautiful pool sits right outside of there. 

Attached to the dining room is an eat-in kitchen that has a massive center island and stone countertops. Stainless steel appliances are all throughout and the kitchen also comes with a walk-in pantry.        

Williams purchased the property in 2008 for $4.05 million, according to the LA Times.

Upon his death at 66 in 2014, the star of Mork & Mindy, Mrs. Doubtfire and Good Morning, Vietnam bequeathed the bulk of his estate, estimated to be worth $100 million, to his children from his first two marriages, Zachary, Cody and Zelda.

The estate in Paradise Cay had been left in trust for Williams' widow Susan Schneider initially.
