* South Australia's worrying COVID-19 cluster continues to grow, with a school student and another man both confirmed to have the virus.
* The Parafield cluster in the city's north now stands at 31 cases with around 4800 people in quarantine.
* Adelaide shopping centres Armada Arndale Shopping Centre and Port Adelaide Plaza became the newest locations linked to the cluster on Wednesday night.
* Victoria is one day away from a significant milestone in the fight against COVID-19 with 28 days the official elimination of the virus from the community.
* Premier Daniel Andrews on Thursday all but ruled out home quarantine for returned travellers, going against the interim recommendations of Victoria's inquiry into the botched hotel quarantine program.
