Video obtained by the news network shows police placing the two teens in handcuffs as they beg not to be separated from their father, who is seen watching on.

'You do not have a choice, this is nothing to argue about. You have to go with us. Let's go,' one of the officers can be heard ordering.

Louisiana police say they were simply following court orders, and the Rocketts were held at at the Glen Oaks Detention Center in Monroe overnight.

The pair appeared before a judge the following day, who allowed them to return to their father. The contents of the court hearing have been sealed.

Bart Rockett posed for a photograph with his two famous children following their release from the detention center.

'My 'babies' are FREE and SAFE!!!! I am not allowed to post any court details at this time because of a gag order but I can tell you they are free and safe!!!' he wrote beneath the snap, which he shared on Facebook.

'Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the prayers and support!!!! We can never say thanks enough. I have tears in my eyes trying to type this. It appears this lengthy nightmare may just be over.'

The Rocketts' mother has not publicly posted about the saga.
