Since the alleged deliberate incident, the driver has been charged with two counts of committing an unlawful act with intent to harm, failing to stop and assist after an incident occasioning bodily harm and failing to report an accident.

He is due to appear in front of Bunbury Magistrates Court on Saturday.

Police claim that after a fight inside the pub, the driver allegedly got behind the wheel of his car and backed into a group standing outside the venue.

Ms Tate and Ms Moloney were waiting on the footpath outside the Crown Hotel and were not involved in the earlier confrontation.

While most of the group jumped out of the vehicle's way, the two young women were struck by the ute tray and pinned against the wall.

Pictures from the scene show that the vehicle had slammed into the pub with such force that the wall had partially collapsed - leaving a gaping hole in the brick.
