Microsoft suffers major outage with major Australian companies unable to access emails through Outlook

Thousands of Australians have been locked out of their email accounts due to a worldwide Microsoft glitch.

Microsoft 365 users can't access any of the tech giant's applications due to a major system outage affecting Outlook, Teams and Microsoft Office.

'We've identified a recent change that appears to be the source of the issue,' Microsoft tweeted on Tuesday morning.

'The issue is being resolved and Microsoft have identified the source of the problem.'

'We've rolled back the change that is likely the source of impact and are monitoring the environment to validate that service is recovering.'

Microsoft is rerouting traffic to alternative system to improve the user experience while investigations into the issue continue.

'We’re seeing improvement for multiple services after applying mitigation steps and we’ll continue monitoring the services to ensure full recovery,' Microsoft's latest update states.

Thousands of Microsoft users worldwide have been affected by the major glitch.
