IKEA and Lego have joined forces in an collaboration like no other to build one-of-a-kind storage boxes that double as a playful toy displays.
The two iconic brands are set to launch a new range called BYGGLEK in Australia - complete with a series of personalised storage boxes equipped with Lego-compatible studs.
The collection can be connected with any existing building blocks, as the studs used on the lid and front are part of the Lego system in play.
The range was designed to encourage kids to keep spaces tidy while building tiny houses or everyday objects on top of the boxes through playtime.

The two global brands have been teasing fans all over the world
'The new BYGGLEK collection aims to be a foundation for play in the home and a way for people to let their imagination run wild and build their creations – all whilst reducing clutter,' a statement from IKEA said.
Shoppers can store their everyday essentials, toys, or books inside the boxes, and proudly display their Lego brick creations on top of them.
The range consists of four different products - one set of three small boxes, and two sets of bigger boxes and one set of LEGO bricks to kick-start the playful experience.
The two global brands have been teasing fans all over the world since teaming up in 2018 to explore and develop solutions to 'stimulate play all around the house'.

Research from IKEA and Lego Group found a demand among children for more playtime with their parents.
'There's a conflict between how grown-ups look at organising and how children look at the creative play,' Rasmus Buch Løgstrup, designer at Lego, said in June 2019.
'Every grown-up has stepped on a Lego brick at night time. But organising LEGO bricks the grown-up way also means ending the play sometimes. Adults sort by typology - socks going into one drawer and belts into another.
'Kids sort by story, clustering it into different pieces, where you can have a half-built space ship. And in that, you can find the one piece that you need. What if we could turn that perceived mess into something wonderful?'

IKEA's designer Andreas Fredriksson said they found kids continue the 'story building in their minds long' after they have stopped playing with their toys.
'So we asked ourselves, couldn't pause and play be a way to enable quick play? We know that children are playing with screens because it's easy to get started,' he said.
'So what if we could make the LEGO play continue? That would make quick play easier and then build on the play that is continuing in the child's mind anyway.'
And so the brands have come up with the ultimate playful storage solution for the whole family - combining two of the most loved products into one.
The BYGGLEK collection will be available in Australia in early 2021.
